Do you ever forget when you last fed your pet? Some pets will come begging for food any time of any day, and won't tell you that your partner, child, friend fed them 10 minutes ago. Some pets can't tell you they are hungry so wouldn't it be nice if you had a way to check?
If your pet is one of the millions which requires periodic medication, then it's far more important to check when they last had their medicine so you don't double dose, or miss a dose because you thought they had already had this week's tablet.
Perhaps you are concerned about something else. I keep reptiles, and I need to keep a track of when the snake sheds, and when I change the UV lights in the geckos tank.
Things get more complex. We have a bearded dragon, two day geckos, and used to have two crested geckos and a snake. Sometimes, I look after the pets, sometimes my husband does. And when we go on holiday or travel, we get friends to do it.
Keeping on track of so much got difficult, so I thought I would be able to find an app to help. I've got an iPhone, my husband has an android phone. We have hunted around for ages, but haven't been able to find anything. There are apps which let you track one pet on your phone, but there just wasn't anything what would let us track multiple pets across both phones.
We have spent over two years developing pet food pal to solve just this problem under the belief that there are other people out there who have the same kind of issues.
We are giving the app away for free on both android and iOS as this will help our work benefit the most people.
